Rehabilitation: foot & ankle
Frank Gilroy has been the physiotherapy advisor to the Glasgow Sports Surgery Service since its inception and has responsibility for organising clinical lectures and developing rehabilitation programmes.
Frank graduated as a physiotherapist in 1985 and gained a master’s degree in biomechanics from Strathclyde University in 2005. With experience working in five hospitals in numerous specialities and as a visiting lecturer to the university Frank has a wealth of experience working closely with patients to develop individual rehabilitation programmes. Over many years he has worked with elite sportsmen and woman including seven years at the youth academy of Celtic football club and at present with the Scottish rugby union.
As a keen marathon runner frank is well aware of the impact injury has on not just the elite sportsman or woman but on those who do exercise to keep fit and healthy.
